I just found a 427 BBC It has a code on the back of the block. 399293 Can anyone tell me where to find the answer.

I found I had the web site in my favorites. The guy says its a 427 eek! I think he got screwed......

The 366 has a small bore and cannot go to 4.250. easy to tell, look for the little bore size.

Everyone with a 366 thinks they have a 427. They figure if they never look up the numbers they won't be lying. :)

Buy a book. Same block I got My book says 366 tall deck. It will bore to 4.375 just sold a512 it,s number 399294
