We go to yuma most of the time with some friends in san diego but this year I think im just going local. Camp roberts opens up to hunters but it takes a long time to get your limit as compared to yuma I can get my limit by 7:30 in the morning. Anyone want to post some different ways to cook your doves?

Theres a good idea. Lets here those recipes. I usually just season them and wrap bacon around them. Put them on the BBQ and MMMMMM!!!! :D

Marinate breast in italian dressing.
Take strip of breast, slice of jalapeno and wrap in bacon.
Hold together with toothpick.
Smoke over mesquite.

I'll wait and go to Argentina. My record is around 1300 in a day.

^^^ Wow! Do you get an artifical shoulder with that? We usually go to Gila Bend and limit out in 10 minutes or so, but not this year. Hoping to hunt around the strip in Parker. Anyone have any spots they'd be willing to share? We do the breast in Italian dressing, then wrap in bacon inside tin foil. Mouth watering! Come on...

Try the Indian reservation
Thanks for the tip. Questions: 1) Do you need an indian guide (we've been forced to have those on other hunts out of state), and 2) Where can you purchase the required indian trespass/hunt permits? Finally, 3) Since it is indian land, if we were to hunt on the AZ side, would we be required to purchase AZ non-rez licenses?
Thanks in advance.

Pretty cool to see other dove hunters here! What kind of 'guns do you guys use? I started with a .410 when I was 14, moved to the Remy 870 Express, loved my Uncles Remy 1187 for years, shot a Super Black Eagle and fell in love with it, but got a HK Red Lion that I enjoy quite thoroughly... :D

Got a bunch, but my favorite dove gun is a Weatherby Athena O/U. Light and fast handling. It's a 12. Also have a Rem 11/87 in 20 that's pretty nice shooting... You?

Remington 1187. Only gun I hunt with. I have others but they're just for target shooting.

I have gone to parker the last 4 maybe even 5 years and stayed with River Dave at his house. Next store, there are always renters that come out to go hunting.
Now imagine, guys that want to wake up at 4 in the morning when we are just starting to stop partying!!! Its classic every year! :boxed: :rollside:
