Can anyone recommend a decent place to stay, near Bidwell marina? Going up Saturday and the wife does not want to stay in a tent again. Ever. :squiggle:

Jim- The boat is running very good. Takes a bit to start... from what I've been told the 460 is a cranky cold engine... but once I get it going it purrs all day long. My tach is way off but i'll replace that in the winter.
I had it up at Union Valley Reservoir Saturday/Saturday night and it was a blast. Raced a Seadoo and he couldn't get by me.... pretty fun! My list of things to do this winter are:
New tach
Place Diverter & Jet rebuild
New carpet all around
Engine rebuild
Electronic ignition
New wiring harness from engine to front of boat
New steering cable
If I told my wife we were sleeping on the boat I would probably have to permanently move into the boat.... and its not really big enough to live aboard! haha.
Thanks for the suggestions!

We have stayed at the Best Value Inn at 580 Oro Dam Blvd. It is just off highway 70 on 162 (Oro Dam Blvd.) It wasn't too bad and had decent boat trailer and tow rig parking. Their rates were $65+ tax last summer with a AAA discount. Their number is 530-533-7070.

My wife and I camped at Folsom and I chose to sleep in my boat. What a way to get rocked to sleep.

Thanks guys!!!
I found a room at the Gold Country Casino. Its just down the road from Bidwell marina and I got a double queen for $99. Not too shabby.

guess I'm a little late but I was going to suggest the hotel/casino, it's pretty close. We stayed at the local Motel 6, was about a 20-25 minute drive to the lake.
Let us know how the rooms are.
