From the casting no. they are 87 truck heads and if I remember correctly early std. 460 intake manifolds will not work due to port mismatch.

See Mortec website, they have all the casting numbers listed.

You should find some dove's or d3ve's depending on what comp you want to run. Also check out reincarnation-automotive.com some info on heads and stuff. wink

blown472, these heads are 92cc. im looking to run 9.5-1 comp. these heads are off of a 88 ford. my problem is that an 88 460 was fuel injected. will these heads accept a 460 intake manifold? eek!

I am not sure, I think you might have trouble on the exhaust side also, go check out that site, there is some info on those heads.

058, are these heads worth getting rebuilt and running in my motor? And what type of intake will best fit these heads....... jawdrop As I understand it the manifold will physically fit but the intake ports will be mis-matched. Try to find some C8 C9 or D0VE-C heads if you want a C/R on the high side or a set of D3VE-A2A heads for a lower C/R, Do not bother with the D2 heads as these are usually open chamber type and are prone to detonation.
