Geeze, Ray. Doin' a little tune up? I bet you're boltin' on that blower we were talkin' about awhile ago. http://www.goldenplasma.f2s.com/forum/smilies/happy34.gif
I'm glad to hear that you're going to make it this weekend. I'm still on the fence, as 617 miles is a long way to drag my tugboat for one day. However, if I do make it, I must say that it will be nice to have company in the "mature" age bracket! http://www.goldenplasma.f2s.com/forum/smilies/happy06.gif
Is this the first project on "This Old Boat"? http://www.goldenplasma.f2s.com/forum/smilies/happy30.gif

I'd love to come out & watch you "road warriors". Just drop me an e-mail, & I'll put it in my calendar. We need to get little HH exposed to the smell of racing fuel and rubber early. http://www.goldenplasma.f2s.com/forum/smilies/happy06.gif
Good luck with the top end. Good thing you left plenty of time before the Regatta. New heads? Cam? http://www.goldenplasma.f2s.com/forum/smilies/happy04.gif

I hear you on the iron being heavy. Man, my cast exhaust manifolds were tough to get out of the engine bay, they were so heavy. That's a good idea to weigh the parts. I estimate I saved around a hundred pounds on aluminum manifolds and heads on my mouse motor- then I went and put it back on in stereo equipment! http://www.goldenplasma.f2s.com/forum/smilies/happy04.gif
I'm very happy with the MSD set up. I even went so far as to get the start/retard, as I have 18 degrees initial, with 36 degrees total. It doesn't plug right in to the marine box, but a couple wire snips and you're in. It also has a second stage retard, should I need NOS down the road- yeah right. http://www.goldenplasma.f2s.com/forum/smilies/rolleyes03.gif
Did you do the head work yourself? Is that a hydraulic roller cam?
Keep wrenching, Friday is coming fast! http://www.goldenplasma.f2s.com/forum/smilies/cool11.gif

Ray, you are truely a magician. Either that, or you have too much time on your hands!
I bet you even have enough extra time to drive down & help Froggy with his stereo install. http://www.goldenplasma.f2s.com/forum/smilies/happy30.gif

RR,nice job,and pretty quick too.Is that an Edelbrock electric choke carb on your engine?Do you have enough room to put a taller arrestor under your engine cover? It looks like those OEM arrestors from Merc and OMC.
