Outdrive Problem

My friend has a 2004 essex 25' with a bravo 1 drive. He just started have problems with it. The drive doesn't want to go down all the time. Then when he starts to bring it up, its starts vibrating up and down about half way up.
Does anybody have any ideas of what could cause this. It seems to me that there could be air in the system (and yes it's full of fluid).
Any suggestions would be appreciated...

could be the trim/trailer switch sensor on the side of the drive :idea:

is there a kink anywhere in the line? just curious. another quick check might be to turn battery off or disconnect then make sure all the electrical connections on the trim pump are nice and tight. and then make sure that the hydro.lines are tight but if one of those was loose it would probably be obvious. tell mike hi.
