According to CNN they have shut down the major gas pipe that feeds the eastern seaboard. $5/ gallon and $10 limits! Gas lines going around the block. Be bad to get caught short in the middle of a long trip.

Hope we don't get caught short.
The LA times reported there is a chance that gas from CA will be shipped down to the Gulf states.

Calm down, people.
Remember after 9/11 the gas shot up a buck overnight?
Came back down a while later...
It's just a panic situation. Have a cool head and things will mellow out in a little bit.
If you panic and scream to the gas station, you think the prices are going down? No f'in way.
If you chill out and don't buy gas, will the prices come back down? You betcha.
Now sit the hell down, have a beer, and MELLOW OUT!
Cheers

I also remember those gas stations paying huge fines afterwards. I also remember a president who condemed those who raised prices to realize a profit.
I see no fines coming and the president is out on vacation (yeah I know he's back now, but he's been out how long?)

Did I say Bush created a hurricane? That's retardly illogical.
I'm dead serious with this question - do you think the gas station who have hiked up their prices (ex: Atlanta) will receive fines?
BTW - wtf is a tosspot?

I see.
So, therefore anyone pissed at being screwed by gas prices is a salad tosser...makes as much sense as a President who take vacation while his troops are at war and dying for their country.

Check this--> you know the 'manhole covers' (for lack of a better word) for the storage tanks on the gas station lot? They aint locked. Follow these instructions;
1) Assemble a 5 man team.
2) Purchase those 2-way radios you can find at Walmart/ Target, etc...
3) Git you a few hundred gallon plastic storage tank (bargain trader has 1000's for about a hundee)
4) Rent you a U-haul - Place storage tank inside.
5) Rent you a high-volume water pump - Equip rental.
6) Wait til da wee hrs of a morning - Gas stations closed.
7) Locate a gas station with an alley behind it - plenty in So Cal.
8) Place lookouts at intersections on both sides - radios
9) Remove manhole-->place hose in hole, pump and plastic tank.
10) Turn pump on-->fill plastic tank.
11) Leave.
12) Repeat above steps in various locations as needed.
NOTE: Do not attempt w/o proper supervision. You did not find these instructions on HB.com

Hey, don't forget step 7.5. Stick road flare into the neck of the tank to see how much is in there.
