Finally some new gears for the K-5....

Hey Tony being your crew chief and all I have decided to go a totally new direction and I took it upon myself to order some new gears and they arrived today just in time for San Diego. I have decided to go with a 12 gear to get you off the corners and set the boat quicker as it has been brought to my attention that a few teams have been out practicing and Davey "B" along with his side kick Clyde "MAD DOG" Morgan have been tuning up the K-13 in the Phoenix area. If you don't like the 12's I also have a set of 15's (lightened) and I also have a set of 22's for when Joey Grosse gets the tune up just right and we go after the kilo record :jawdrop: :jawdrop:. Hope this comes as good news, oh yeah :idea: I need some cash quick to pay for these !!!!. ;)

If you remember we already had 12's in the box in Chowchilla. I do like the idea of 15's though. Clyde has assured me that he is aware that people are chasing the K13 and he is ready to do battle. I know Dave is up to the challenge. (What is with Davey?) It reminds me of the old claymation cartoon Davey and Goliath. You remember? Since you wont be in attendance in SD we will rig the radio system to the cell phone. I am not sure I will be able to get any race advice from Gordie while he is on the radio talking about the times he was great.

Since you wont be in attendance in SD we will rig the radio system to the cell phone. I am not sure I will be able to get any race advice from Gordie while he is on the radio talking about the times he was great.Yeah I can hear it now..." I tried the 15 in chow town i did give me great acceleration but lacked on top end i liked the 22 but if it is rough in San Diego i may go back to 15. :idea: :idea:

I put a thread up to put alittle humor back into the v-drive section and the king has to come in and hijack it with his chest all puffed up and arms back and waving that ego likes it's a flag. cmon. :D Your exactly right Mike. Julian weather you liked him or hated him he was the "KING". Now there's the argument that Julian wasn't responsible for the Biesemeyer as we know it. All's I can say is when he brought the K-50 out and starting cleaning everyones clock what type of boat did they all go out and buy????, and from whom did they get it???. Boat racing is amazing, the new guys never seem to give the older guys credit, yet there still racing a hull design from the mid 70's. Now Julian wasn't the only good driver out there, but he was the one to beat race in and race out.

Oh Tony I almost forgot, Dave Rankin called yesterday and he said he had the perfect propeller for us if we ran the 12's or 15's. It's a 16 x 25 three blade. Only hitch is it fits an 1 1/8" spline shaft. Dave said no problem there, he'll just weld it on. Problem solved....... :D
