hot header

I have a 2001 454MPI with EMI headers and on the right side the whole header is hotter than the left even the water is hotter coming out of the exhaust.It is still not so hot you cant touch it, but hotter than the other side.Does this sound like a problem or normal? Thanks for any help

It is quite typical for one side to run slightly warmer than the other. Unless it's a drastic or severe difference it isn't a problem. The fact that you can rest your hand on it tells me it isn't that warm in engine heat terms.

My Malibu ski boat with a stock 350 Mercruiser, has much warmer water temp on the right exhaust than the left. I have checked everything and it is always this way. Doesn't seem to be a problem its been that way for 400 plus hours.

The water will slightly favor one side or the other creating the heat difference.
