So .....I make a trip to Phoenix....lookin at a Daytona ........what could go wrong ....right?....lol
I leave Sunday nite hours ahead of Miss Katrina ....I figured If I could get West of Mississippi without stopping ..I would be ok.....what I didnt expect was the thousands of people from southern Miss, and Lousiana....with everything they own in and on top of their cars...clogging up every rest stop and hotel.....The rest of the drive out was easy ..I was gonna zip over to Cali for a visit...but that didnt happen
a few shots from the road.....West Texas and New Mexico

4-Tequila....bad
5-Most truck drivers are very large.....Theres nothing like wolfing down 5 lbs of breakfast buffet before a long day sitting behind the wheel.....Flying J travel plaza observation... :D

The ride home was good as well got to see some kind of giant structure fire in Texas.....and about 20 Texas cops pointing their guns at a guy in a fore runner.... everything was going great ...then I hit Mississippi and there are no lights on ...the entire state is dark....I need gas ...no gas.....the one station pumping wanted $5 a gal....and the line was miles long....I press on figuring I can find a part of the state lit up....nope.....I wander into a truck stop in Meridian Miss...just about empty....no cell towers....no food...I was about ready to trade my new boat for a frozen burrito... :D a boat with 50 gallons of race fuel in it.....I spent the night ....in my car....no room service or anything

Hmm..lets see rooster from a 96 21' Daytona on a Georgia lake vs a rooster from a 96 21' Daytona on a Georgia lake. You will definitely have to bring that thing up this way. So how long before you make it alcohol injected :)

Yep...there has been a few boats in between...I missed a small tunnel....I wanted a 25 Daytona ....The cost of insurance and a free ride on a new Nortech at Poker runs led me back to a small fast lake boat

But what about all that.....smoke.... :2purples:
I've been running an oil injected engine most of the summer. On synthetic oil, it doesn't smoke noticeably.
A few weeks ago, I swapped powerheads for a old non-oil injected carb engine I keep around as a backup. It's not the greatest starting engine and needs several seconds of choke to get going. I've been running plain old Mercury low performance TC-W3 through it but I've considered switching to straight 30 weight oil to lower my consumable costs. Of course, I pre-mix at 32:1.
A couple of weeks ago, I had a lady friend with me. We were at the dock firing up the engine. It wasn't happy and I was cranking the hell out of it with the choke on. It eventually fired and puffed out the biggest puff of outboard smoke I've ever seen, short of the Hanson/OMC Kelowna incident.
There was a light breeze that surrounded us with a massive cloud of unburned regular non-lead and dark blue oil smoke for several seconds. Even for me, an old outboard guy, it was pretty intense. When I looked over at my passenger, her lip was curled up like a breakfast crepe.
Oh yeah....

note the "successfull" portion of my statement being the first word.......
oh yeah, and I think only 10% of people selling crap these days can
properly guage words like: excellent condtion, very little miles/run time.
