I've often wondered about Mobil 1 in non-emissions regulated vehicles, always heard rumors about it's lack of sulfur and zinc so it can be emission friendly and I'm curious if that compromises its ability for wear and scuff resistance compared to other high performance synthetics (Royal Purple, Amsoil, Lucas, etc)...does anybody have REAL answers???

My thought is 10w30 is too thin for your new flattie (synth or not), I run SAE 50wt in mine and it works well, if you have a bend to try Mobil 1 I'd go with the 15w50 like the other poster mentioned.

I run valvoline racing 50wt.
I stay away from the multi weights. I was told the multi weights use microscopic granules to make them thicker. The granules in racing are high abuse applications can actually break down & you are left with a thin oil.
Anyone else?
BTW- your clearances in your motor will dictate what should be run.

Thanks for your advice. I will look for the 10w50.
