Ok..... So I'm hoping this date-time works for you guys. Sunday, Nov 3 Long Beach Yardhouse 11am-noonish till??? ..... Please email me at gfamily1@pacbell.net and let me know if you are gonna make it.... I will try to get ther by 11am and get us a good table<s> :D

Were still not sure. The boat is at DSM waiting for the Merc Tech to figure out what to do about the low rpm problem with the port motor. It has been a week now and I have not heard anything from Merc. DSM has done every test they can do and found nothing so it is in Merc's hands now.
We might run out to Havasu to take care of some stuff if the boat is still at DSM. If we don't make it I hope you guys all have a good time.

I'm thinking of bring the "Dirty 30" back down here for the winter, so we will have to make some Newport to L.B. Yardhouse runs this winter. Way to much fun in the ocean to just let the boat sit all winter in Havi!

I can run the boat with the rpm problem (effects speed by a few mph) but I want to see what Merc says about it. If we do make it I think we will launch at Dana point and run up to Long Beach.
What would you guys think about meeting more like 11:00 so I have time to run back to Dana Point and get the boat cleaned up at DSM before it gets dark? If we can make it we will be there.

If we do go I hope the water is bigger than last weekend. When we were running the Fountain off San Diego last weekend it was calmer than Havasu. :D

I'm in Aliso, not too far from Lake Forest...I think we looked at some places in Lake Forest when we were moving to Orange County.....We might have some space open in the boat, but I probably won't know until Fri or Sat.
Chris and Jody, we will probably launch in Newport but haven't decided for sure yet. We could always meet up at the breakwater in Newport and head up towards LB. Earlier is OK for us....We don't want to leave too late for the trip back either. Did DSM get their new Gladiator in yet? If so, maybe you need to take that out for a "test" drive.... :D :D

The mechanic and I are taking the boat out tomorrow after they adjust the valves and see how it goes. When they did a compression test on the motor two of the cylinders came back a little high. It depends on what happens tomorrow if we go or not. I don't want to take the boat in the middle of them working on it.
SR, They don't have the new Gladiator yet. I am going to try and go for a ride in it when they get it though. :D

Well we are definitely out....They did a leak down test on the motor today and it has at least one bad intake valve. It is in Mercs hands now as far as fixing it.
The water looks like it will be good for you guys. I think we are going to head to Havasu for the weekend without the boat. DSM is also possibly going to take our boat to Vegas on Sunday for the SEMA show for those who are going. Well have fun I wish I could be there. frown
