What kind of grease do you put in the rudder stuffing box, and the prop shaft seal? Thanks :hammer2:

I use the light blue stuff for boat trailers. Just put in a little like one pump.

Neo Synthetic Z-12 from rex marine. Even though I haven't had problems using trailer bearing grease the synthetic is supposed to be better suited to high speed friction from say a shaft log seal. I use it on everything. :cool:

It works well and doesn't "cake up" like the blue stuff over time. I use it in all wheel bearings too. I don't have wheel bearing failures any more (used to be a regular occurance)

I seem to have bearing probroms everytime I go out.
That is when my boats run.
