Hey everyone. I've just joined this website and thought I'd share pics of our boat on here.
My Dad designed and built our 20' modified step-v hull and completed it in 1995. We have a 2004 Mercury ProMax 225X on it. He designed this boat to have a superior wake for barefoot skiing (what he has done for 40 years now) and for slalom skiing (what my Mom does). Of course, for kneeboarding / wakeboarding (what I tend to do) the wake is definitely not that of a typical "ski boat." The boat looks nice though, and people always think it's a race boat and ask the typical "How fast does it go" -- only to be disappointed because it afterall IS a ski boat, and most people don't understand speed on water.
Here's the pics... enjoy! Also, one thing to note... ALL of the graphics (the name Diamond Back and the diamonds) are IN the gelcoat. No paint, no stickers. Getting the diamonds in the gelcoat was an incredible undertaking, to say the least. AND Yes, the guy driving the boat that looks like a skinny version off ZZTop, thats my Dad.... :D
