What an ass.
Just read this and it pissed me off.
Use of the Word 'Refugee' Stirs Debate By JOCELYN NOVECK, Associated Press Writer
snip
"It is racist to call American citizens refugees," the Rev. Jesse Jackson said, visiting the Houston Astrodome on Monday.
What an ass.

Refugee here is the Dictionary Definition:
One who flees in search of refuge, as in times of war, political oppression, or religious persecution.
There is no mention of black, white, Indian, asian etc. These are people seeking refuge from a natural disaster. If there is work to be done Jesse Jackson is more than happy to be part of the problem not the solution. Tell him to use his power to help these people instead of playing his race cards. I garauntee the guy without food, water, electricity and a dry place to sleep could care less what you call him as long as you get him the hell off his roof.

If you're going to post a definition, make sure nobody else can use the dictionary:
Main Entry: ref·u·gee
Pronunciation: "re-fyu-'jE
Function: noun
an individual seeking refuge or asylum; especially : an individual who has left his or her native country and is unwilling or unable to return to it because of persecution or fear of persecution (as because of race, religion, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion).
Well I only checked one online dictionary not them all. Like I said the point is If I was stuck on my roof and wanted to get out of their before I died I dont care if you call me, cracker, moron, poor, whatever just get me the hell off my roof. Jesse jackson stirring the pot is not helping the situation.

didn't he have a kid from some women while he was married ?i'm just mess'n with ya i don't give a shit about jj,or what he does
Yes. He got popped because he was paying the mother 10 G's a month to keep quiet. I believe the money was coming from rainbow coalition funds but I could be mistaken. This happened not long after he gave Bill Clinton TONS of sh*t for sticking a cigar in that chubby girl.
I think JJ is a piece of shit hypocrite asswipe. But then again I'm white so what would I know?

i think that what jesse jackson is referring to is that "white" americans are already disassociating themselves from these other AMERICANS, because they are poor and black!!!
And Jesse Jackson doesnt want people to associate the survivors w/ the word refugees.. instead to look a them as AMERICANS in need that have a had a horribly tragedy put upon them by Hurrican Katrina
that way maybe more AID will flow in

Not too many sure things in this life EXCEPT:
If there is a Wronged woman in the news, Gloria comes out into the light
aaaaaaaannnnd
if there are African-American issues, Jesse's quickly in the middle of said issue.
I wonder who he's going to pressure into donating to his "charity" this time!?

Jesse Jackass, Rev. Al Sharpton, Gloria allred, and the rest of the opportunist can all go find an island to rot on....IMHO....they remind me of maggots...only come out when something is rotten, in their eyes

Anyone defending Jesse Jackson needs to have his head examined!
Absolutely, while banging one of the girls and having a baby with her, he was paying her $350,000 per year as an employee of the "Rainbow Coalition."
What church exactly is he a Reverend of? Does he follow any of the Christian beliefs?
He has, well documented, blackmailed corporations and companies, getting them to pay his organization to "enhance" their sensitivity to "racial diversity."
He was in Venezuela because it was an opportunity to bash Pat Robertson who simply told the truth. I am half Venezuelan and I can tell you that Chavez is one step off of Castro. He believes in socialism and is killing the country. He has threatened the US recently and expelled our DEA agents working with the Columbians to stem trug traffic in and out of his country. Apparently it has been hinted that he has his own deal going with the drug cartels.
Jesse is a POS. I like Sharpton. He says what he believes and then sticks to it. He is willing to go on any show and stick with his program. I don't think he's right, but I admire his internal fortitude.
Jesse JAckson, POS, couldn't and hasn't helped anyone, ever. Don't even go there with the civil rights crap. Jesse was about as involved as Shamu is at Marine World. Face it, he was there and that's it.

Well, Since I guess I can't expect an online dictionary to include EVERYTHING one can seek "refuge" from, then I guess they can't be "refugees" untill Webster's adds "disaster" or "public beatings" or "rapes" or "shooting" to their definition.
On the other hand, if it agrivates The Rev, it suits me just fine. "Refugees" it is.
Hey, "Racist" is one of only 3 words Jesse knows anyhow, see this recent quote.:
"Blah blah racism blah blah racist blah reparations blah blah racism blah blah racism blah blah racist blah blah blah."
Oh, yea, I forgot he knows the worn "reparation" too.
I also have to disagree with the "other" Rev (Al Sharpton) as he is off his nut, but he does have the sack to stand by a position, even if it is not doing him any favors so I grudgingly give him a little bit of respect for that, unlike Jesse.

Al Sharpton is one funny guy. During the Democratic debates, he was the only one with any humor. I still think the guy is nuts, but he does speak his mind and sticks to it. Crazy, but I bet he wouldn't put up with this Muslim crap for long! :D

SmokinLowriderSS
09-07-2005, 07:39 PM
I'm sure he siphons off "rainbow coalition" funds he likely extorted from some business that didn't want to be labeled "racist" in the media by telling JJ to hit the skids and not let the door hit him in the backside.

Yeah, you're right, I'm sure it was much better 50 years ago, when they couldn't eat inside the same restruants or use the same drinking fountain. ;)
I think Martin Luther King Jr. had more to do with that than Jesse Jackson. At least MLK was trying to make things equal, not distorted.
