So, I've got the new (well, new to me anyway) motor home... errr... home and it's time to do a little detailing on the outside.
Here's my question; The original vinyl stickers on the outside are cracked, faded, and pealing. What's a good way (read "easy") to remove them?? Any of you vinyl masters have any suggestions??

heat gun to soften adhesive
3m general purpose adhesive cleaner to remove residue

Best advice would be to use a heat gun or a hairdryer. Then take a plastic puddy knife to remove decals.Use goo gone or wd 40 to get the stickey residue off.

3M makes this hockey puck looking eraser you stick on the end of a drill or air tool. Takes away the decal and adhesive in one motion. Pretty easy but messy. I've been using them for about ten years, no problems.
Most automotive paint stores carry them.

Yep, the hockey puck or eraser looking thing works bitchen, the mess people are talking about is when you erase something on paper and it leaves those little squiglys everywhere, well that's what he means, some auto part stores have them too. :)

I've got some 40 grit paper on my belt sander I'm sure it should do the trick :)

Goo Gone - Works every time and has a nice citrus smell.

Has the fiberglass faded around it? You'll have ghost decals....

I know, but I doubt it will look as bad as it does now. I'm going to clean up the faded fiberglass and then restripe it with vinyl again.
We'll get to see how straight I can apply that stuff. :D

Heck, just bring it to Havasu and let it sit in the sun for 10 minutes. They will fall off :) :)

5 gallons of gas and a match. With prices what they are these days, I'd use 87 because it should get the job just as well as the 91. :D :D :D

just bought a heat gun and it works wonders at removing vinyl stickers, numbers etc. Then just spash on some WD40 and some wax/cleaner.
Man those heatguns get HOT
