I have a mechanical fuel pump I wanted to use but someone said it wont be enough for dual holley 600's. What do you guys think? I have a huge electronic carter laying in the garage I can use. If I do run a electric fuel pump what pressure do I need to see for a dual carb set up? I have a regulator but I am way lost on this one   Can someone please help??????

A 13 lb Edelbrock with a bypass regulator after the carb inlets will feed 2 dominators on gasoline.

A Clay Smith mechanical pump with regulator works for me with two dominators on a 1071 Moonyham and 540 ci.

my boss ran a single mallory comp 140 w/ dual 750s also used a reg for each carb set at 7 lb.Seemed to work very good.

I've been running a Mallory Comp 140, making 750+hp. The marine version is USCG rated and comes with a single deadhead regulator. I think it was about 250 bones from Summit.

I was told that I cant run a mechanical pump. Is it true that it cant supply both carbs with a sufficient amount of fuel?

396 You were told wrong.
My first post explains how. Keep your eye on my Quad Rotor 540 project and I will prove it

I ran a stock Merc mechanical (on the sewater pump) and a Holley red pump on my 250 blown 454 w/ 2 750 DP's. It made 697 hprsepower and held 7 pounds of fuel pressure all the way to 6000 rpm. Just before I spun the bearings frown

even the high flow mechanical pumps from Holley will work. You dont need an electric fuel pump to feed dual carbs.

I just talked to my local boat guru and he said an early 455hp stock pump will be enough. The mecahnical I have is what he is talking about. He said I only need to worry about pressure(idle and wot)
Thanks for the input guys wink
