For those who have directv, on the national geographic channel 276 is a show on powerboat racing. Those who have cable it might be on at 8pm

I watched it and thought it was very interesting…I liked the way they analyzed each crash, the cause, effect and the solution. They even talked about the fatal ones as well (from a scientific point of view)
I was disappointed they didn’t talk or even show the drag boys…they boasted the hydroplanes do 200+ but the fuelers today can go 240.
I also thought it was interesting when they discussed the evolution of the safety capsule…I always Denver Mullins, (sp?) god rest his soul, was the innovator of capsules in boats…or was it just in the drag circle…
Anyway, the show was pretty interesting. :p

Just watched it, thought it was pretty good, but would have like to see some drag boats, and some more on the Unlimited Hydros. Of course that show could have been 3 hrs long and I would still be wanting to see more.
Love the shows about the water speed records too, those guys have got a pair that clank. :skull:
