It's for sale, 1982 18' Challenger (Splash of Southwind 18). BBC .30 over built by Jim Grubbs Motorsports, 4 bolt main, has two seasons on motor, 485 HP, 551lb TQ, 9.3-1 Comp, Single Holly 750, MSD 6M2 with Soft Touch rev limiter and Pro Billit Distributor, powdercoated rail kit, Bassett chrome twisty headers. Dominator Pump, Bronze AB impeller, short droop, manual diverter, bowl and impeller blueprinted by MPD, MPD loader. Origional Gel in decent shape, has some blems here and there. Interior in good shape, full stringers. Competetive tandem trailer in good shape. I have GPS'd this boat at 79mph. $6500 obo.

Yeah Brian, it pains me to do it but it's time for something new. I just can't make up my mind on what I want next. :)

damn pumper, why you selling her??? That is a nice rig. I got it on that fbc video and she sure does move well. maybe you should post that video and let them see how she runs;)

Mike- Letting her go huh? Yeah I think one more season in the Hallett and i will be ready for something new as well. Perhaps something bigger.

I would say it is more of a Kachina splash being it has the same deck as a Kachina.(Yea I know same bottom as a Southwind)

Call it what you want, they were all splashed from the southwind. Bottoms are the same and the only difference in the deck is the part just above the transom.

Thanks 396, it does run pretty hard for what it is. I really don't want to sell it but I want something with a little more room.
