If that's an air set-up, how would you control the 'neutral' ? If it were hydraulic, you could do it, but I don't see how air would work.

More than likely it's a hydraulic Place Diverter setup modified for the reverse gate.

Interesting way he extended the steering cable on that thing.

I couldn't live without my neutral.
If it is a PD hydraulic setup, you'd still have it. It'd probably take some diddling around with to maneuver it though. I believe I'll stick with my manual bucket. Parking in tight spots like the CBBB and AVI's lagoon, I need all my controls. I think the manual's better for skiing too.
Michael...........why aintcha working? Or better yet, at the lake?
Did you eastsiders see the post for Big River October 8th and 9th (http://www2.***boat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91840) It's an awesome place for us freeboard challenged guys. You can always find flat water to run on.
Or there's this one too (http://www2.***boat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91800)

Air operated buckets are cool and everything, but not cool on the river or lake.

You need neutral, thats why. with an air bucket its either open or closed. Pulling into a dock, launch ramp, crowded beach, whatever is super chalenging with no neutral, you depend on that neutral more than you think.3 MPD dragboats now have them, Ive seen them pull into the outramp, its not as easy as you think.
Why do you want something like that on a lake boat?

Why do you want something like that on a lake boat?
same reason why a guys has a blown alcohol injected boat at the river
I just think it is a nice device.

Atleast a blown injected motor will do something like make your boat faster, not make you crash into stuff like an air actuated gate will.
Air actuated buckets serve one purpose, to help you cut better lights at the race track.
