will have to keep lookout as who turns up with a blower setup-----don't know if anyone on the boards would be going to the swap meet in San Antonio on Oct 1st and Houston on Oct 9th, but with the word out around here, the motor or parts might be tried to be unloaded to some car guys out of the area.

Thanks Guys, my boat has been recovered by the Corpus Christi DPS. It seems that the boat has been at a Townhouse Apartments for over a week. They made a call to the Police but don't know if they came out to investigate. The Apt. mgrs made a call again this time to the DPS. They went out last night around 8pm and found the boat. I will have a few guys from the Orange Grove area picking the boat up today. I will know that the DPS officer told me the boat was in great shape, but the motor was missing. I now have some piece of mind to know I have something to work with. I would like to thank everyone for all the support and calls over the last week. It has been a big help to know that so many people have been on the look out for my boat. Thanks again to all. Bill"cookieman"

got any pics of the motor or at least a good shot that shows something that would identify, there is a lot of swap meets coming up around here in ark. oklahoma and tx. the thieves usually swap stuff with some one they know a state away so that they can "unload" the stuff in an unfamilar territory, let me know what im looking for and i would be glad to look, as I shoould make at least 3or 4 over the next few weeks/month

Hey you guys, A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to the guys that helped to locate and secure the boat until Bill can get down to pick it up. I talked to Bill on the phone the phone this morning, he is so happy :D he was throwing cookies every where. He mentioned names but I don't remember except that you guys are great! Bill is a freind , all you guys are friends and it is a great thing we have here in Texas and around the country. Something we can all share in as far as our interests in boats and our friendships. I just wish that the thieves were caught  ! I hope that they are! No matter who they are! I look foward to meeting old and new faces at Plowmans! ;)

Go to Hot Rod Gossip website http://www.hotrodgossip.com/ and give a description of your motor. Joe Golden of Houston runs the site.
This site is read all over by drag racing fanatics. If the motor shows up they will have high percentage of getting wind of it. I know they have helped locate stolen cars. Plus they all hate thieves and may put the lowlife out of commission.

I would have assumed they may have damaged the trailer when towing it with the chains they used. Looks like they did not do any damage to anything. Congrats on getting the boat back Cookieman, but sorry to see that the Dick heads took that awsome motor.

Make up a reward flyer and distrubute it in that apartment complex and at local gas stations, etc. You may get lucky and get the engine back for a few bucks. Include a photo of the engine in the flyer.

Could've been better if they were scared off before they got the motor, but good news nontheless. Now, can you give a few details of when, where, and of course how without the rest of the tongue.(I saw something about chains) A few details might help a fellow boater out in the prevention of the same thing happening.....MP
PS It also says something about engraving you SS# in out of the way places on the parts and pieces used in a high dollar motor. If ever found, your property would at least have a chance of getting back to you..........

Moneypit, it seems it is quite easy to hookup quickly ??? all you would need evidently is a section of smaller square tubing with a reciever welded to it that slided into the neck and then chained or tied not to slip back out??
It may not help ??? but I have my initials stamped on almost all of my engine components in lots of places
