Are these Boats really that rare my Buddy bought the one that was posted awhile back and we looked at another one for sale and when we told that guy there was only 6-8 Made he said BS he has seen lots around the Merced Area. Just wondering we Called sanger and of course they know nothing unless it is a 21 Ski Boat.

I would ask Billy B or call back to Sanger and talk to the old guy there he has been there for many years, 1968 or something like that.

Sanger started making this hull back in 1977. When I worked for them I know of at least 2 that went to Texas, and here's a list of the ones I can remember.
1. Trojan Ghost BFF, owned by Ron Williams of Trojan Ghost K-99. Boat ran real well and was in fact clocked at 170 plus.
2. Hijacker BGF, owned and driven by Larry Bitter. He may of ordered 2 but this goes back along time.
3. Herscall Qualls who ran a UBG Flat had one and did quite well with it. At the time he ran this style hull he worked for Sanger.
4.Truitt Beal who many of you might now from circle boat racing bought one that a guy by the name of Mike Kitagauwa (sorry for misspelling the last name, best I could do) drove.
Gear up, owned and driven by Roy Doby, and now owned and shoed by Al Alcorn.
There were quite a few more made after I left but not like the original bubble deck. The bottom was copied off a Cole / Hondo / ETC which had a wider center pad then the earlier Sanger runner bottom.
I always thought that this hull was really clean looking and like usual Sanger Jack always came up with something that looked different then the competition, and set Sanger apart from the rest. I had posted sometime back on a similar thread that the biggest mistake Jack made I thought was when Al Bush wanted one of these for the famed "Crazy Horse" BFF and Jack wasn't going to give him one, Jack wanted him to buy one. I'm standing there when Jack told me this and all I could think was here's the #1 boat in the country so why not give him one and kick Cole's ass. Jack's reply....I'm not a fiberglass shop that gives stuff away. You want my product "YOU BUY IT"!!!! I guess thats why there still around, not to mention that they got out of drag boat racing and started building tournament ski / wake board boats.

NO, not the same boat so make it 7. It's not mine, but I know that the boat has been raced with CDBA for about 5 years and had been in the same family for many years prior. They stepped up to pro mod. I think the 6 boat deal was said on the River Rats video. Was it 6 race hulls made by Sanger and the rest are splashes???? Don't know? :confused:
