I have a fully dressed 502 carb motor with all accessories to drop in. it has exhaust also. Runs perfect. 165-170lb's of comp. In all cyl. Thunderbolt ignition, ect. I was going to keep it as a spare but with this new turbine boat I am building it would be nice to have the cash. I would also be willing to trade or partial trade for a #3, #4, or b-max. I want to be fair to someone, but I do not want to give it away either. If anyone is interested and/or knows what it is worth please let me know.

i already have a few beasts. i have a 900hp 540 with 9lbs procharger boost, and i have a lycoming t-53 1350hp turbine that is going into a 30' chris cat. what i need is some spending cash to finnish building the turbine boat. i am just looking for a fair figure on what i should ask for it.

ok, lots of e-mails about what i want for this engine. I don't know. i was hoping someone who did not need it would step up and give me an idea what it is worth. it is a great motor. beter cam, fast glass elbows, 850 carb, runs like a bear. i would hate to put it on e-bay and let the e-bayers decide what it is worth. help.

Sure do. I actually have spent $1150.00 having it torn down and inspected b/c I was not really comfortable selling it to someone who did not have much turbine know how without having it looked over by A PROFESSINAL. Check it out on e-bay. I will be honest my reserve is 8k. Think about it though you cant even buy a gm crate motor for that. :)

Im not trying to "run down" your sale, but 8k with no starter/gen set and burt vane tips!?
I personally wouldnt even run a turbine with burt tips...have you ever seen what those wheels can do when the let go at 24K? Its like turning loose a sawmill-saw in your boat with a triple dose of bear rage!
I can get complete running 1150 hp T-53s for 4k...and 1350 hp for 6k.
And that starter/gen set ain't cheap either eek!
Am I missing something?

First of all I said some of the "T-canes"(fuel injectors) had slight burns on the tips. If you know what a t-cane is, and you should, you know that they have nothing to do with, nor do they touch any of the vanes or wheels. Next, as for you being able to get t-53-11's running for 4k and t53-13's running for 6k then you are in the wrong business buddy, you should sell used turbines for a living, I will take a dozen of each.

Anyone who has been looking for these turbines and does not want junk is going to pay 8-10k for an 11 and 12-15k for a 13. Now if you want to buy a core de-milled turbine that has had a grinder run through the inners for a few grand, be my guest. Gas turbine maybe 6 years ago when you first started your project you got those prices, or maybe you have a close friend in the business but I seem to remember you telling me you could possibly also get me one when I first started looking, and after a few unreturned e-mails to you about this I looked other places. Here is what it comes down to. Your boat is beautiful, you did a great job on it and it looks great. If you have connections and can get these turbines that cheep you are the man. I have spent months talking to many many people who do this for a living and they all say the same thing, buy an inspected, removed running turbine and pay the 8-10k for it, or buy junk. I know what mine is worth, and I challenge any of you to find the same turbine in as good of shape cheaper. By the way. I can get starter/gen for 400-500 all day long, and I can get the t-canes replaced for $70ea with lead gaskets. It is nothing personal. but there are a lot of people out there who can always get something better, cheaper, faster. when it comes down to it and you want to get one from them somehow they never come through. I know what I have, and I know what it is worth.
