Need some ideas.... :idea: got the "BIG BIG CHEESE" in town and he likes dead cow. Any input on best resturants around Manhatten Beach or the Marina appreciated...!!!

Chart House is good, Cheescake Factory has a great steak. If you travel to Beverly Hills there is a Mastros, Mortons (Arnie Morton in the phone book) and Ruth Chris.

555 in Long Beach. Very very spendy. Also have a nice selection of cigars.

Ruth Chris, Morton's, Chart House, and etc. are all good 4 star types of places. But he said "Best"
555 is one of only a few places that I will eat Steak Tar Tar at. If you don't like steak tar tar, then stick with the Ruth Chris types of places. IMHO. :D

Check out a little known secret hole-in-the-wall place called Chez Jay....in Santa Monica. Right on Ocean Boulevard. I think it's just across the street from Lowes Santa Monica Beach Hotel. You'd swear the place is a dive bar....but has some of the best burgers, steaks...and cocktails on the planet. Seafood aint bad either.
Ivy By the Shore in Santa Monica has good beef. Might see a star or two.
For some authentic Austrian, go to Arnold Schwartzenegger's restaurant, Schatzi on Main in Venice.
Whale's Tail on Washington Boulevard in MDR used to be good for steaks, but it's been some time since I've been there.

Mastros is worth the drive, best steak ever.

We've done Ruth (very good), the chart place, Morton's in several diff towns...Mastros or Flemmings sound like a good venture out.... :idea:
