I got the block ,crank ,rods and pistons back from E & G machine in Wallingford, CT. Yes I am in Connecticut. Yes we have some nice lakes.
Their work is top notch. They polished and chamfered the crank (looks like a piece of Jewelry). I bought a whole engine BBC stock bore 454 LS-7 replacement from another Jet Boat owner(he blew it up with too much water at idle in the exh.) and he had already had the crank cut .010/.010. All I really used was the crank, block and the heads. Here are a couple pics. The whole assembly was balanced as well. The 6.135 Eagle H-beams swing on Forged SRP pistons and the crank is a factory forged item. The 4 bolt main block has been line bored, bored .030, deck plate honed and deck squaredÂ…etc. I am using ARP main studs. Hopefully within the next few weeks I can get this thing altogether and get it on my engine run-in stand. I want to have it in my boat and running in the spring time.

Nice looking parts, and I love the cell phone for reference. What clearances are you running on the rods and mains?
