put the "428" in the trk...better power...better everything...if ur looking for economy...just chng the cam...i have a friend who has a 428 in a '65 Ford 1/2 ton and he gets 20mpg...just a little tweaking & its good to go...just my .02 cents

The 428 IS in the truck. This is the second time it has sheared the oil pump drive. Last time, I changed the oil pump and drive shaft, as well as the fuel pump. This time I ran it a little longer getting off the highway, so I know I gotta do the bearings that survived the first time, and the oil that was full and clean, is now over full and black. I just want something that will get me to BHC a few times while I fix the 428.........Ray
