We're still sorting out the new (to us) Schiada 21RC. It has a Race Aero twin turbo big block chevy, Casale C-500 with 1.29 gears, 1-1/8" prop shaft, 12 x14 stainless prop (looks like a menkins). I was curious what other Schiada v-drive owners are running for props, gears and rpms. Is 6500 maximum rpm reasonable for a carbed twin turbo motor? If you do the math, at 6500, the speed will be just under 90mph with 80% efficiency factor. Comments appreciated.
My 21Howard with an EFI twin turbo motor peaked the dyno for horsepower and torque at 6500.

48's 11.5 x 16 3 blade menkins 5400 rpm max. I guess I'm making about 900 hp.

Yes to both, we're back in Alaska (as of last night) and we're signed up for the Schiada Regatta. We're headed back to Parker on the 29th. Got to get caught up in the office then back to play. My wife and I are looking forward to seeing a bunch of beautiful Schiadas.
I will give Lee a call. Does Casale make taller gears than 1.29 for the C-500 v-drive??? Our boat just feels like it needs more prop or taller gears. My Howard is quite a bit faster by rpm than the Schiada. The Schiada seems to hook up faster and accelerates faster with little prop slippage, but the Howard has more top end.
