Waterski racing at Puddinstone

Waterski racing at Puddingstone this Saturday! Race should start around 9:00am if we get going on time. These are circle races only 3 to 5 laps. The race is intended to be a warm up for the National Championships in San Diego in Oct.

Bring the whole family or better yet you can stay home with the Kids & the dog and I'll personally see to it that Cayla has a wonderful time.
Oh practice went well 3 laps in Canyon Lake on Sunday with lots of boat chop makes for good practice

How was San Diego. Did you guys run your flatty in SS?
MickeyD will be running the 1st race and I don't have any other commitments after that although I will most likely pick up a skier or two for other events.
Steering: One of the clevis pins holding the steering pulley decided to let go at about 60mph at Parker. It was a pretty exciting ride. All fixed now and ready to rumble!

So, you are pulling a Novice in the first race... Who's up after that? Travis was over here tonight, and he'll run if you are looking for skiers. He'll do anything that is shorter than Catalina... ;)

We should be running a triangle course around most of the lake.
Racing will start at 9:00am or so.
Pits will be at the ramp but most people will leave thier boat in the water.

You can't see it from the photo, but that Cyclone is a jet boat, belongs to my friend Billy Mason from Phoenix. He was telling me today that he needs to take the tired 500 inch motor out and put in the 550 cu in for the Nats in two weeks. He is also geting a "z drive" made at Casasle, since he has a pretty wild driveline angle right now, with 15% overdrive.

Thanks for the hospitality at the races REB. Your wife fed my daughter enough sugar to keep her up all night (crispy cremes, double stuffed oreos, etc..) :D Daddy will pack the munchie some snacks next time!

The Schiada guys wrapped up, they brought their bad voodoo skier over, and REB's boat tried the same trick. Luckily Pat saw what was going on (while chest deep) and kept the line from getting into the props. Just got around one of the lowers was all... :D

You guy's lucked out on that one alright. That yellow cruiser drug the whole darn anchor setup hooked to the bow eye half way across the lake , I think they lucked out on that one too! Their boat ran alot better with anchor inside the boat :D

I liked the anchor floatie trailing behind as they gassed it. 4 grand or so and ten mph??? I thought for sure he'd have had that rope WAY up the intake...

YEAH THAT WAS PRETTY FUNNY TO WATCH. WHAT WAS REALLY WEIRD WAS THE ACHOR ACCTUALLY CAME OUT OF THE WATER A COUPLE OF TIMES. DID NOT THINK THAT WAS POSSABLE. REB GOOD JOB ON YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER'S FIRST RACE. (ONCE IT FINALLY STARTED) SHEESH ON THE 5 MIN. HORN FOR 20 MIN. :D

Could not get the #2 motor lit, so they held up the race for us. And it didn't hurt that my other daughter was in the start boat holding back a few eager drivers while we were trying to get running.
BTW: the boat took 6th place overall, not too bad for our 1st weekend out racing. I sure didn't expect that
