It's because you know that I yearn to be like you, except for the Ford thingy...
Thanks for all the great info guys, I've already been cruising the forum over there, you're all right, there is some terrific info over there.
Jordy,
Do you still have those Rancho shocks available??? :D :D Did you crank your torsion bars up or re-key them? I'm not real big on lift kits but do want to clear a little bit bigger tire, what do you or any of you suggest???

Take a look at this leveling kit (http://www.cognitomotorsports.com/01-06_GM_8-lug/2-3_leveling_system.htm). I'm eventually going to go with this kit along with these (http://www.offroadunlimited.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=22_84_62&products_id=174) bilstein shocks for the front. You should be able to easily fit 285/75/16 tires fit this setup. How ever I was able to fit the same size tire on our last truck, which only had the torsions cranked. This setup will cost allot more than a set of green keys though.
IMO the ride will be allot better than cranking the torsions. I did that on our last Chevy, and not only did it ride bad in the front it wore on the one of the front drive axles. BTW I didn't have the torsions even cranked to their full potential.
I suggest going under the suspension section (http://dieselplace.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=80) on thedieselplace.com. There are allot of threads discussing torsion/green keys versus other lifts.

I know you are joking about that, but I have a friend who might be able to get us a quantity discount. Let me talk to him tonight and see what he can do. I'll get back to you on this one.

Right on. I read about it and it looks like it may be pretty easy, even for a dork like me to install... :D :D :D

Ya how about a group purchase? You should be able to install this in 2 hours in the driveway but need to take it to get aligned right after.

On my 01 HD that I had a full throttle 10 inch lift and CA super trucks install the lift. They ended up making a shorter top A- arm to correct the suspension geometery.

Exactly. Shouldn't be too big of a deal. Looks like a nice setup that will keep the upper balljoints from wearing out early. Still probably gonna have a problem wearing out the front drive axles though.
