I live in East Texas (Tyler)....About 300 miles North of the coast.......

not looking good as of 11p espically if it continues a northerly turn right up our back door. not matter where it makes land the whole Gulf coast is ferked !

My wife wants to evacuate and i want to stay. I think Lafayette will be ok so i think we'll stay. Dam this sucks. Stressful to say the least. I have my house and a half built spec house to worry about. I went board up windows earlier till after dark on my spec house to keep debrise from flying into the windows.

I also have an extra 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, another with a twin, if yall need it. Oh yea, also have a nice stock pi;e of beer also. I figured what we didnt drink during the storm, I could drink at Plowmans next weekend :cool:
Our church has already taken in over 50 people, so I took them some donuts milk and coffee this morning. We are supplying them Pizza for lunch, and I think we are gonna do a pot luck for dinner.

I keep seeing TV shots of the traffic with the outbound lanes at a stand still and the inbound lanes near empty. Why don't they open all but 1 of the inbound lanes to outbound traffic?????????????//
