You better start puckering your lips because the new "Castle" V drives are good for 45 mph. SMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCH

If it had a Berkley V Drive in it I'd start to worry. You going to Bako this weekend?

C'mon now. It has run 128 on GPS. :notam:
Question & Answer
Q: Man I'm looking for a 100 mph pluse boat, you say it goes 130 for real. How do you know it goes 130???? Time slip? Maybe Thanks for your time and remember on the water at 85 mph it realy feals like 200

A: 130+ Should have been listed as an estimate. Boat was recorded at 128mph by GPS on the Colorado. It is not a drag boat, it is geared and propped for top speed rather than fast acceleration. Also should've been noted: Boat has a thinned out racing hull making it lighter. Also, Horsepower is probably conservatively listed. Hope that helps.

"Where do I get a RACE prop?"
Menkens Racing Propellers ... (602) 278-0908
The two Quickest TFH's as well as several others, a number of TAH's and TAF's are all running Dallas' props.

Question from mikebarnes5150
Was this same boat "GPS'd at 128 mph" with the same engine listed for sale (shown in the photographs)??
Answer from graydragone
Yes, according to the owner it was GPS'd with the 454. After consulting with a couple of mechanic friends of mine, they tell me the 500hp rating is low. With the Tunnel Ram and the performance heads, it should be putting out about 600hp
_______
If I had known that "about 600hp" could push a TRUE FLATBOTTOM "geared for top end" to the 130 mph range, I would have built my 70 MPH, 427c.i. true flat the same way.
Man, did I do something wrong when I built mine...
