Deb--
Look straight over the area west of Hellman ave. from your house. Yo may want to veiw it better from the top of Beryl or Amethyst, but you still will see it from your house as long as there are no trees obstructing your view.

It was an amazing show! The first stage rocketed across the sky and then it was lights out. Then all of a sudden, the second stage lit up and spewed a flume of white "spray." The finale was equally amazing - a beautiful changing abstract light show.
The pics do it justice - great pics!

I was in San Marcos and saw the light show, it was awsome. Wasn't sure what we were looking at. We were all sitting there saying that it came from the west and we were only about 20 miles from the coast. I bet that there were a ton of 911 calls... Awsome light show though.

I saw a launch from the top of a houseboat in Steamboat Cove maybe 6-7 years ago. At first I thought I was hallucinating from too much beer / lack of water. Then I thought an A-bomb hit L.A. The sky was glowing a wierd shade of green and kept getting brighter. Finally put the pieces together in my alcohol soaked brain and realized I could get back to partying! Wish I had a pic.
