Check out the unusual early method used in the fiberglass mold process.

?? Hallett had some molds like that. I just painted one and it had a seam
up the middle.

It looks very similar to a '65 Kindsvater that I once owned. My first v drive. Or it might be a Kellison.
Very cool
Please keep posting updated pics as the restoration moves forward.

That's a cool Campbell... can't wait to see how this project turns out :)

The Campbell originally came to us for a stringer job and partial new floors.

Does this particular Campbell have the name "Let's Play Toys" on the transom?
I'm sure there were quite a few with this color and setup but it looks exactly like the one my dad sold when my parents divorced. Boy I was sorry to see that boat go as a casualty of the breakup. :(

No, there doesn't appear to have been a name, but you never know, it could have been there and then removed. I think the owner bought this boat about 2 years ago.

The other boat is a Hallet. I'm almost positive. Aqua Crafts were put together the same way. Deck on top.

Nope not the same boat, the transom on my dad's was woodgrain like the dash. What caught my attention was the wind deflector, it's cockpit brace, the mirror and the horn were all exactly the same

I think that I've seen that Campbell up close at naci last season. That is so cool to see those two Campbells, their twins! Maybe I saw HM's Campbell. :) Either way that thing looks really cool. Show us some more pics of the flatt in the foreground. That looks like a big project.

My Campbell has not been to Naci since we aquired it about 12 years ago. But we bought it from the northern cali area. My dad had an electrical fire in his motorhome and stopped at a shop to have it fixed. In the back of the garage was this Campbell and my dad spotted and bought it.
The transom is a tad different on ours:

Now it sports the name:

Either way, they are very cool boats. They have a great old classic design.

Someone had started this project before we got it. You can see where the stringers have been hacked. They also ground on the hull. We're stripping the inside, almost ready for new stringers and floors.

Filled some of the old holes, changed the exhaust, added vents and grab handles. Changed the paint lines just a bit. New teak swim deck. This is an old boat, with a beautiful old school transome.

The combination of the three peice molds, and the rail connecting the gunnels is a dead give away. I concur.

I don't have a clue on the blue one, but I have a question about the plates on the two Campbells.
Can someone explain why the cav plates on the yellow Campbell have a larger gap between them than on HM's orange Campbell?
Thx
