Ok, ok.... I usually don't care to respond to this type of thread, but here goes.
First of all, none of you live with Steve. Second, that's about all the information you need to feel sorry for me.
The phone rang at home first, no message, then Steve's cell phone rang, so it must be an emergency (we thought), right? Everyone knows we are in the process of buying a house, so spending money on going out is not in our budget, right now. So for one if we don't pick up the house phone, it must mean we are sleeping. That doesn't mean you can now call the cell phone and it will be ok.
Seriously none of you live with my grouchy husband, so really none of you have to deal with all the crap he gives after you get off the phone with him at midnight or 3pm. I am the one who has to deal with it, and to have him complain about it for another half an hour after the phone conversation ended, and still no sleep, I am the only one that suffers, not so much you!!!!
I have and will never call anyone after 9-10pm, due to respect for them and their families, no matter what. Yeah, by 10pm Steve would have been sleeping as well, but that to me is a more reasonable time to call than at midnight.
We had to be up early on Saturday which is besides the point and getting woken up at midnight was not the best way to start my weekend. To add to the problem, I woke up with a migraine that morning. Me having to deal with ANY inconsiderancy is completely RUDE. Now to continue, the next time my phone rings after 10pm, I will be the one answering and if you have never seen me blow my top, I don't think you want to see it. I will give you the worst verbal abuse you have ever heard and you will never want to call my house ever again.
Now, Jackie and Art, I have no hard feelings for you two, and like I said I hate when these types of thread get started, but I know deep inside you know that calling at that time, knowing we are not out partying was not and is not an appropriate thing to do, even if it is the weekend. AND next time if you don't know what we have planned just in case anyone needs to know, I'm sure Steve or I can put together an itinerary to let you know when we are sleeping and when we are not.

They were at home not in danger in any way. :confused: I have gotton drunk dialed plenty of times, I just let the phone ring no big deal. In this case I thought it was an emergency, because both my house phone & cell rang, I picked up to find out it was a call for directions. I even answered like this "this better be an emergency" Art & Jackie know me well enough to know I would get pissed over something like that. So of course I got pissed. Every one handles things different.

He just had to wake up this morning and post his "feelings & thoughts" to every single one of these threads that is floating around about this "Phone call at 12am" for "directions" (his term for more drama like anyone wanted to BS w/ him at that time) when that fact is Art (NOT Art & Jackie called) yes called late (not the best thing to do, but obviously thought of Steve as a different kind of friend, Art says) and asked for the "EXIT NAME" so that we along with SYA, PP22 & another individual who were here could follow one another to Havasu on a route that SCUBA gave us to take one time almost 5 months ago. But instead being the "kinda" guy that he is and we all better take a mental note about this too, he just hung up on Art. (Fine, I can see Scuba being upset but taking it as far as he did NO.)
I did not know that Art had called Steve until I came out of my bedroom from packing. No one was partying here at our house, but rather laying on the couch or sitting at the kitchen table. And Art was not intentionally trying to wake up anyone or cause drama like this.
What upsets me is that my name gets drug into this but on a forum for all the public to view and give opinions on and then personal information is also put out there when it could have easily been handled in a different way.
I personally don't come on here to bash people or put them down, I try and lift them up and be positive. And I have never seen Art do it either. We aren't those kind of people or friends.
Yes, when a person or persons who you "thought" were to be considered "friends" because you have hung out with them numerous times aside from this website and the river, and them knowing many personal things about you and your family from hanging out, go and start crap about you and your family on a public website, like someone said yesterday: YES there will be hard feelings and YES someone will always get hurt.
Enough said, I hope that some people have learned their lesson, we know we have learned alot. :clover:
