I went to the race in Barstow yesterday. It was pretty dead, not too many teams racing. But here are a few pics I got.

Hubby said not a lot of people at the Core race today either.

That's a shame, because the Baldwins are really doing a great service to the sport by getting CORR reestablished in the southland again. I really hope that series takes off, as it will be great PR for all the teams racing offroad out there as well...

I would have thought it would have been a large turn out since they dedicated the races to Corky Mcmillian.
Hopefully next weekend will be bigger.

I was thinking about going next weekend.
I heard a rumor that CORR may be in OC next year. Has anyone heard the same?

Corky McMillan's passing is a huge loss to the OR racing community. That man had more class and flat out gusto than any 50 team owners. He will be missed by the entire community. They should dedicate the rest of the season's races to him.
I'm glad they got some footage of him in the D2G movie. Small glimpse of a truly great man...

He truely touched many lives. I read many of the stories on the other forums the hubby is on. Almost everyone had me in tears. Bawled after reading his grandson's post to everyone. A true Icon.
And I agree with you on the D2G movie. :)

I am not sure, I will ask the hubby when he gets back in town. He follows this closer then I do. :D

I was on a Pro2 team that raced CORR.We did every race back east and all of the tracks had a great turn out, those people love CORR back there.Bark River and Crandon were packed everyday. Its a shame that a good race series or even a few select CORR races can be put on out here. Not sure why this weekend wasnt packed with people,I would of thought for sure the place would have been packed....Seeing how alot of the big boys are from out here.

Maybe just because this weekend was mainly about qualifying and next weekend are "The Money" races?...
I hope they pack the place. :D :D

Next time we will have to plan to meet up. Who were you there with? Just hangin out?
I went the first 3 laps which were flawless and he was bragging about never getting flat tires and then after I got out they had 3 flats. We were all laughing after the race that he jinxed himself. Other than that we had a great day. I think we ended up 3rd overall.

I was just there with a few friends. Normally we have some friends that race their truck to advertise their shop, Solo Motorsports. But they've been doing more Score stuff and seem to not be doing MDR as much.
See, I guess you should have never gotten out. Sounds like you guys still had fun. So how many class 7 were there?

Hey I'm glad I got out otherwise I would have been the one changing 3 flats. :crossx: :D
There were only 2 class 7 trucks and the other one rolled like 15 miles into the first lap I think.
