Going to go checkout a 1970 Hawaiian Kona 19 footer Thursday morning and was wondering if there is anything to look for. I am primarily interested in the boat for its haul as I plan to strip my current boat and swap it over to the Hawaiian (if I buy it).
Additionally I know nothing about them so any pros/cons are greatly appreciated.
Currently have a 197X 16' Tahiti with 12JG and 455 olds that I am looking to get out of....way too small.
I will check it for hook, but I don't know much else about what to do when I go look at it. When I bought the 16' it had a ton of problems I had no idea about.
Thanks.
