Long story... basically the wires that go from the MSD box to the coil got severed and shut the engine off just before the finish line which really sucked cause the opponent red lit.

So i guess you got another engine? Whats the scoop on it. Looks like a single carb. DNE?

Looks like the new one, the old one was a dual carb deal.

Hey John D, I got plenty of you too. I'm working on another project at the moment but I will get a few sent to you too later.
Thanks Chris for the compliment and it was a fun weekend despite the problems and loosin the Killin Time hydro. I talked to Brad yesterday and he's doing fine. Still sore though which is to be expected.

Yes new motor. 565 single carb with big chief heads, pump gas deal, still running the same classes.

how different does the new engine feel? the old one could achieve the same with nitrous. Why is this a better deal.? on the motor, does the 565 turn the same rpm as the other engine on nitrous? maybe impeller changes?

the old motor hit harder on the bottle for the few seconds i was on it,but this one is pretty strong all the way through. Its a better deal because i can go anywhere and run in the high 8s so i just have to slow it down a little to run the number..it ran high 8s in 5000 ft. of air at the slowest track in the country so Im dialed anywhere else, hopefully.
the other cool thing is i dont have to deal with nos, that stuff is a pain to race with unless you have all the trick shit you need to keep the bottle happy. I was heating bottles in my truck, cooling bottles off in my icechest, it can be a pain when your trying to do everything yourself..this new one has a 400 fogger shot on it but im in no hurry to get into that.
yes rpms are similar to what it was on the bottle with the last engine but the nos was inconsistant due to bottle pressure. it varied 80-150 rpm at times.
no doubt that other motor was sweet,I wish i could have both. :)

Keep it up BOB!! If the picture wasn't shot at an angle you would see how close it really is. It also didn't help that you got a 3 second head start!! :D Love your show Babe!!

Yes Denis, that's it. It was the "Gambler Class" and Bob had a pretty big head start because of his dial in time so Mike had to catch him. Bob cut a good light and Mike was pretty late. It must be pretty hard to sit there and watch your competition get a big and I mean BIG head start and still try to get a good light. Mike was cutting killer lights (.05's) up until BOB!! That's allright, hopefully they can meet up again sometime. He (Mike) couldn't have lost to a better guy.
But: #195 High Maintenance did win in PCE! Great job Michael.. :D

thanks neil.. michael and i go back a ways. the neat thing about the gambler is, you never know who you're gonna run! there were 6 boats ahead of me on that rouind, and i couldn't even see the hydro. when it was finally my turn, i looked over and saw the hydro, COOL :) , me 'n mike!... i know he wanted me as much as i wanted him! i have way more fun racing against the best.
i was doin ok with the lights all weekend, but the bad air/water did me in on sunday, except for gamblin. i do think the 2.2 second difference makes for a good show though.
congrats on that pce win neil; you need to get carry that through to rb!
