I was told check in is at 3pm at the Hampton... however, will be on the water prior to that !!!! See ya at the island....

Ok Ladies you know we have to feed these men....What are we having... Anything and Everything!!!!!!!!
Last year was a blast to be the first year ever.. I know that this year is going to top that... and it's for a good cause....
Lets hope the weather is as nice as last!!!!!!!!
How about some chicken and BBQ. I'll be willing to help out and also bring a side item. I can bring some potatoe saled.

dudes whatz up ,found me some cash!!!!!!!!!!coming up there!!!!! early sat. to sun ,73 TAHTITI ,BBC ,BLA,BLA,BLA,red and white so look for me!!!!!! i,m leaving lexington s.c. about 6-7 a.m. about a2.5 to 3 hr trip,see U,YALL at the ramp.any body camping out at the spot,if so i,ll bring my video crap.Is this place like in the middle of nowhere or is beer ,ice ,etc there???????????? i,m think this late in the game a hotel is out of the????well i need to run & shine me boat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!just me &hans solo is coming,may b 2??????????????LATER!!!!!!!!!!

Actually I'm glad you brought up the subject of ice, beer, etc.
NOTICE TO ALL NEWCOMERS AND REMINDER TO EVERYBODY ELSE...
The actual lake is located in a dry county,
meaning, GET YOUR BEER AS SOON AS YOU GET OFF THE HIGHWAY!
If you wait 'till you get close to the lake you will be VERY DISSAPOINTED.
And, NO there is no gas, ice or anything else available ON the lake, or even very close to it as far as I know. :220v:
some of you NC boys correct me if i'm wrong.

There is a marina just east of the island that has gas, ice and snacks. If coming south from the Linville ramp it is straight ahead instead of making the right turn towards the island.

and if you go to the maps that DaveA posted, Benfields Marine straight across from the Canal Street bridge landing, there is Gas and ICE but, no BEER,so bring the cooler full and will see if we can help you get rid of it :D :D glad you gonna make it!!!and don't forget the toy!!!

We will not be making the 525 mile trip . Truck problem! :frown: Runs ok on the flat ... but dosen't like the hills. Remembering from last year there are a few hills between Perryville and Morgantown.

2004 f350 powerstroke diesel . I think it is a fuel delivery problem when turbo boost is building. I changed both fuel filters which didn't correct the issue.Its in Fords lap now ... :confused:
