Best customer service I have ever dealt with....I have had the Canon SD400 for a few months now...my mom borrowed it, dropped it and broke the LCD. Now I decide to see what I can do...of course its not covered under warranty, so I call the service center and they are giving me a new one for $120 with my trade in. I called a few people to fix mine and $150 +!!! They are paying for 2nd day air shipping and shipping back to them. This was all done on the phone in under 8min!!! :rollside:
Not a bad deal. I dont have to spend another $350 for a new one....and I love this camera so it worked out good for me.

When I was a canon tech [ from 1972] , we used to do the same with water damaged cameras .Lots of parts could still be used to fix used mechanical cameras . With the newer [ AE series & EOS] cameras the circuitboards suffered and was too expensive to fix them , but still had the trade in policy . It doesn't mean you should drop your new camera in the lake right away :p :)

Hey Atilla, I have some dust in the lens/sensor of my S410. Do you have any advice on where to send it?
I had the same problem with my S400 and it cost me a couple of hundred to fix. It was marginal as to whether it was worth it or not... hence, the S410.
