Those things are cool aren't they. That design goes back to the 1930's. They come in many sizes and in several different engine configurations. The top class (Unlimiteds) using aircraft power. :)

Thanks Jer, here's whats what...
1.Snapper the 1953 Rich Hallet with flathead power an A class. Owner is a jet pilot who flys crippled 747 aircraft home! A natural driver and risk taker!
2. Tim(air)Garrison in his new ebay boat and quite an animal running in the lead and clear water,,,,must be nice!
3. Yellow boat is #831 Sanger gull and the most recent flipper. She is Hondo Sangers (Al Veto) daughter who is one of the rising stars of Nostalgia but the only girl this year! Watch out for her next year and a 'b boat'!
4. Tim (air) Rat.....at least your cav plate was in the water, showoff!
5. F6 and the 'High Lead' 266 Jones 1956 hydro. Found in a chicken barn and rescued after 42 years of hibernation. In 1959 this boat ran 156mph with a little pop in the tank (in my opinion).
6. Season Champ Ron in his green Aquacraft on the move to another great season of consistancy in the ski class! Former driver of the 'Honch' Jerrys new b boat.
7. You're not so favorite jErK being passed by a small block SK680 Jones flat (note wake ahead of me) after he shot through my roostertail in turn 4 heading for the finish well ahead of #57! Before that we had a see saw battle grudge race swapping leads four times! Great fun!
8. 'High Lead' finaly set the rev limiter at 7000 and whipped up on the class. Original pipes and tri-power didnt inhibit the 327 mouse motor! This boat is something to see in the DVD when it averaged 67 mph around the oval hardly touching the water. Driver Robert is an old outboard hydro driver who now owns two Nostie boats. The Miss Miami, Powerful Jo Jo, Mr Jigs, and Snapper ran together in this Vintage race.
It's hard to believe our fifth year of racing is over and now looms the higher cost of insurance!? We might see some of you at Burley if our invitation remains, for right now its a go!

Right, #548 Sanger circle runner, formerly driven by Scott L, now driven by Jeff Humphrey and is one of the 5 rookies competing for the End of Year Rookie Award. Jeff needs some real help in set up though, that Sanger is a mess when on the gas! gotta give him credit for trying!
And you Rat have made the pretty boat RACEABLE, not an easy task especially when you do all your own work! Thanks to all of you here that have helped!
