My wife accidently spilled cereal on my laptop, and now (of course) it's not working. The problem is the address bar keeps flashing on and off with the history of accessed sites, and nothing works when it is doing that. Where the milk went was around the F5, F6, F7, and F8 keys. Is there some way the "F" keys can be disabled so I can see if that resolves my problem? This happened several days ago, so the problem isn't moisture, and I blew the keyboard out with my compressor to see if that helped, but no luck.
Thanks

Hook up an external ps/2 (not USB) keyboard to your laptop and reboot your machine to see if windows may bypass your laptop keyboard on bootup. If it does and everything works fine then chances are the only thing affected by the fluid spill is the keyboard and youll at least be able to back up your data. New keyboards are about $60-$90 for new replacements. Have a geek install it for about $45. Most keyboards come out fairly easy from the top if you want to replace it yourself.
