Took my new TPC carb to lake martinez, and out of the box with ZERO tuning, my previous 4400 rpm boat pulled almost 4900 rpm's with my new carb, not only that but it misted up my intake !! Not so bad !! Not to mention a smooth idle, HUGE difference in throttle response !! Once I get my F'ing timing problems fixed, I'd love for Ty to get his hands on this carb and try to get this thing to pull an honest 5000 RPM's. Thanks for a job well done and the beautiful looking carb !!!

Whats the deal? You started this thread at the same time you started a thread about your “Backfiring, Stumbling, and Stall problems” If you have these problems how can you say your engine runs smooth? Could your problems not be from the carb?

no, its not a carb issue, I have had 3 different carbs on there, and after the second one, I pretty much ruled out carb issues. I have had a stock 780, a 750 and now my old freshly TPC warmed over 780. Its something deeper. And I was just saying that before my "mystery timing problem" comes into play after about 45 min of run time, the motor runs harder and smoother than I have ever felt it in all of the 3 1/2 years I have owned it, and after this prob gets squared away and I can get some tuning hours on it, I think this will be a fast little motor.

I'd rather push a Ford than drive a Cheby :D I'd rather push my Ford up a hill while on fire on a bed of spikes in death valley with no shoes than drive any kind of Chevy with A/C and a hot little sweedish broad giving me road head in the front seat while crusing the most beautiful stetch of the 101 along the ocean .....

Actually, I got a little carried away there, I'd much rather do the latter.

Aaron, you have some very strange fantasies!! Have you ever thought about medication for that?

Damnit Hallett19, you had to throw in the hot little sweedish broad giving road head...up until that point I was with you all the way.

Ty, you're a hell of a guy. You have been more than helpful with my questions and parts. Sometimes there is a bad customer, but everyone has them now and then. Hopefully I can get mine working as good as it should. Thanks again for the help.
