I grew up in Kinneloa Canyon and still live in Arcadia north of Foothill.. Those girls from Alverno were something, but the ones from Sacred Heart ( the little houris house on the hill) were really something else. Especially the boarders. I can remeber racing up and down Santa Anita until the police began locking the gate at 10pm.. We locked a few police cars in our day, as well placing Mr Bubbles in the foutains in front of Arcadia PD and at at Arcadia Park..
I have often wondered where all of the people went. It seems like a mass exodus occured and the whole city ( Arcadia) is turning into little China :rollside:
At least they havent closed down dumpy dive bars.. Drinker's Hall of Shame and First Cabin( home of Pat O Brien and the Priests of Love) :D

The Monastary was always a good place for trouble.. So was the Mark's brothers mansion at the top of Lake. That place and the trails above it were creapy..

wind, rain, a little snow, dont stop me the 14 sucks we had to take the 14 early this year when the rains washed out a lot of the mountain roads and i was late every day for 8 days straight i would leave a lil early each day and still be late one day it took me 2 hours to get to work :frown: hard to tell my employees to be on time when i walk in a hour late :supp: in three year we can count on 4 hands the amount of times we have taken the 14/210 freeway of course when it snows a lot they shut it down

My mom taught second grade at Highland Oaks for almost 40 years and I lived in the area from 1965 to 1979. The last laugh seems to be on those of us that cashed out and bolted! I drove my son thru the area to show him a couple of weeks ago on his way to preview USC and the area was way more lush, green, and manicured than I remember it. Sierra Madre has apparently become very trendy!
