I understand you wanna stay original but for the same cost as the new OMC motor you could have rebuilt 2 460`s, installed a WAY better cam, 2 new light weight Stealth intakes with carbs, and been able to still have money for exhaust port work on all 4 heads. All this and ended up with more power yet better fuel savings. A more complete burn is the key.

I see. So you ain`t feeling like trusting machine shops now, understood. Good luck on your search. Try a local dealership and have the parts man(if he knows what he`s doing) do a nationwide search. The broken valve does happen. You also pay for quality machine work. But worth it. There are alot of machine shops that are represented on this site. I`m sure someone can direct you. If shipping is not a problem I can refer you to Ron Sporl Performance. 504-279-2460.
He does motors for people all over the country including Al Copeland (Popeyes offshore racing).

Call Jack at FLAGSHIP MARINE in Punta Gorda Fla. at 1-888-282-2840 and see what he has. He had several complete new 460's a year or so ago. He may still have some but they are not in there catalog anymore.
