The hull looks to me to be similar to the V-tunnel like the Art Carlson designed (patented) Hallett 260 AC Limited.

If Froggy doesn't want his graphics copied imagine how Hallett would feel if their hull is duped :D

Sorry Dan, no Duping there. Ron Ehde design has been on the board for many years and the Mod V-P has been built by about 30 builders. We checked.
525 bravo 1 30 P
82 MPH smacking the limiter. We didn't bring a 32, which was my mistake, so with the 30 Pitch, 82, with the nasty Santa Ana's , not bad.
A 32 Pitch at Havasu will push the SXT to 85 or so.

I really like the Cobra boats I've seen at Havasu....and so do the owners I've talked to.
Little things like a place for the the ice chest and the bimini tucked in the engine hatch are cool....makes me think the rest of the boat must be well thought out.
I'm buying a bigger truck this week.....so i can buy a bigger boat soon.....Cobra is on the short list.

Sorry Bob, I don't get BUTTHURT over peoples comments. I've been doing this way too long. Some like it some don't and that's fine. As for you being smarter than me,, you may be, but I never made that coment, so you'll have to ask Throttle about that, But I do know that he is one smart SOB.
The other reason I think there is a bit of chip here is the fact that you always have a negative comment and people get tired of hearing it. It may be your opinion, but still, it gets to be the same thing all the time and somewhat expected from you.
If you own a perfect boat, or have ideas to build one, offer an opinion. I understand you don't like the colors, but the first comment you made made it sound like the gelcoat finish was less than perfect. The colors may not be to your liking, but the finish is one of the best in the industry.
Ask throttle how the ride was, he was in it when the water was the worst.

Dana @ Dana Marine Products, not Dhttp://www2.***boat.com/image_center/data/505/2484sbhbforum2.jpg ave. 7" of vertical travel, with rear foot rest that have 4" of travel all adjustable from the passengers. Extremely strong, absolutely no side movement. This base was designed for Cobra to allow the people behind the canopies to get up and out from behind the windshields when idling to get some air flow. They also help alot when trailering and docking cat applications.

This boat has a 525 in it. not mine, a few changes have been made to make it a bit flatter... unlike the cats, remember this hull has a vee bottom, so what you are seeing is really just the outer sponsons gliding across the surface creating lift and speed as air passes.

I wonder if you could insure this thing as a "V" hull" ???
I think this boat boat (closed Bow) with an Ilmor MV10/625 ran in the low 90's, no problemo.... That is nice for a single engine 29' boat no matter what anyone says
insured as a v bottom, confirmed today...
