How hard are you turning this engine? What application is it?

7500 in a flatbottom with a 2-speed owens trans in a raysoncraft med weight hull. I also am running a nos plate but thought about going to fogger system or running 2 plates if I go to dual carbs. Does anyone have anything for sale looking for ideas.

It is not a full race deal but seas very little slow speed running. I race with a bunch of lake friends

555 inches pulling on a single carb at 7500 rpm is going to be one strong signal. Air is like a Cup car, it needs to slow down as it transistions a turn. That CID pulling on a single carb has got to be producing some "violent" air. I would look at getting another 4150 to match what you have and go tunnel ram. If money is not a worry then a good sheet metal intake.

Thats the kind of input I need. I do not like the single carb it runs up hard then just kindof loses power at about 7300 in high gear. Do the carbs have to match each other as for as being desighned for a multible carb setup and does anyone out there have a good intake and or carbs for sale

Its a good idea to by a matched set but you don't have to. With your combo a set of 950's would work well.

Go with the formulal for your engines requirments to suport the rpms you run at. To much air will hurt responce and to little will hurt WOT. For example my 399ci early hemi needs 1250cfm to work best at 7200 rpm. So I had Bo Laws build me a pair of 650cfm carbs. Crisp throtle responce and good signal thru my rpm band. Just a sugestion to consider is a 2-4 high rise insted of a tunnel ram. Again this all depends on your combination. Used both and have found lots of pros and cons. Im sure there are a few pros on this site that can get you your goal with out waisting a but load of money. Hope this helps some how....
