I sold just the hull to Boatmaster in Norcal and the motor to a guy somewhere in Norcal also. Last I heard the new owner ran it in the bridge to bridge run and ran 107mph with a stock 2.5.

Bottom ring is important when using juice because of blowby, heat and hard hitting. The rings you found are for champ pistons I prsume?
Cast will seal fine they will just loose there spring after 10 or so hours, so I've been told.
It's not just a matter of getting it together also I have to learn the boat with more power. Probably a little over twice but not sure.
Your source was going to give me 10percent off. I know I can get a better deal somewhere. I'll check with Brandon Powers tomorrow if I dont forget. Going to get my vdrive dialed in Sat but should get the motor put together end of next week. Hopefully anyway.

That old stv would never eat the rapid crapper up! The Rapid crapper handles the rough water really good compared to an STV. Also the Rapid is a little lighter than the stv. With a stock motor and SVS I can turn 9200rpm's with a 24p and I am happy with that.

Okay JP,
I admit the OB Hydro is only a one seat race boat turning 8's @ 128- 130.
It will not carry passingers unless they lay on the alky or nitrous bottle.
The Allison however does carry 4 people with tunes and will outrun most any OB boat out there. It will not compete with your BB motor Stoker.
I dont know anyone with balls or nipples big enough to ride with me to race the OB Stoker so it will have to be a one on one thing.

I agree they look very simular to the way they did in 87.
to me they have a timless style and the handeling was a little ahead of its time as the racers still would prefer to use the Stoker hull.

It was competition. Sure, they made rules to keep it safe for more novice drivers, but that's cool. Makes it so anyone can run - and it's about reviving the sport right now. It wasn't even very often that the boats in the same division were side by side for long.

there was lots of passing.. I passed most of them guys a bunch of times.. the most fun was passing Tony Scarlata..lol..
anyway.. thanks .. we had a blast.. the shaft was 2" below.. slowed us down to about 70-78ish.. and the guys with the big power motors were in the 80's
it evened out the playing ground..
and there was passing in the corners.. you just had to respect your line..
I never once got caught behind a slow boat that I couldnt pass because of a rule..
I would do it this way again in a heartbeat!

Is it that they are jealous?? I mean her you guys are, a bunch of buddies. that grew some balls took a boat modified it to race then got out there being non-professional racers and actually ended up with a first and fourth overall.
meanwhile they are sitting at home pissed because they did nothing, so the first thing they do is get on the internet (being the tough guys they are) and bash people. I was told... I need to get a life and go to the river. I laugh at that because, I WAS at the river last weekend and will be there again this weekend. I was even involved in the race (granted our boat broke early and I never drove), but at least I was there doing it.

Marlin 440( nothing extreme to the engine )against a 2003 Tunnel jet boat with a 502 in it. 1/4 smoked him after that he sail passed me fast :hammer2: I still beat him, that isn't any endurance race boat I have it's a family boat and I use it alot for pulling people on tubes and other water toys. Now don't get bent now, but people that put up shit that is not an ob against another is totally stupid in my books..apples to oranges....ob to ob, not a problem!

It seems as though everything has been said. and the Bench racers are continuing to just attempt to stir the pot. Its getting old now. UT...IF you are so bad ass then get your balls back from whomever has them and race next year. going to speed alley and doing a couple runs with your motor set on kill, does not impress me. going fast in a straight line for a limited ammount of time is not that challenging, If you are looking for just the fastest boat out there....NEWS FLASH!!!! there is always someone faster. you do NOT have the fastest boat around.
I do NOT have the fastest boat out there, I even admit to having one of the slower Stokers out there. And I raced the Enduro in a JET BOAT, but I was still out there doing something, and not just sitting behind a computer bashing those that did actually do something. These guys won and have the trophy and prize money to prove it....no matter what you say you cant take that away. They RACED and they WON. Maybe next year you can show us all how its done properly, but I doubt you have the sack to actually show up. Until then go back to bench racers and leave those of us who actually back up our talk alone.

1. I went to parker and watched the race and it looked like a race to me
2.I commend everyone that put there time/money/boats/vehicles/houses/icechests and LIVES on the line.
3.The effort that was put forward by all was very impressive and im not just talkin about the boats that finished.

Come on UT are you really this ignorant or are you just trying to stir the pot. Yes the whole point of an Endurance race is to be there at the end. Yes we were not the fastest boat on the water on this day but it was not a 10-lap sprint race either. We won the race because we never had a problem the entire day. BTW I have been doing this for over fifteen years and YES I have won too many sprint races to remember and have also been an APBA high points champion in the past. So I know how both types of races work. If you think we won a circle jerk because everyone else broke, then next year jump in your ride, make it last for 5 hours and take the title from us. Otherwise go back to bench racers and do just that bench race. I am truly sorry if you don't like the way the rules work.
BTW There were 5 other boats in our class of which only one of them was on the trailer at the end

going to speed alley and doing a couple runs with your motor set on kill, does not impress me. going fast in a straight line for a limited ammount of time is not that challenging, If you are looking for just the fastest boat out there....NEWS FLASH!!!! there is always someone faster. you do NOT have the fastest boat around.
I do NOT have the fastest boat out there, I even admit to having one of the slower Stokers out there. And I raced the Enduro in a JET BOAT, but I was still out there doing something, and not just sitting behind a computer bashing those that did actually do something. These guys won and have the trophy and prize money to prove it....no matter what you say you cant take that away. They RACED and they WON. Maybe next year you can show us all how its done properly, but I doubt you have the sack to actually show up. Until then go back to bench racers and leave those of us who actually back up our talk alone.
