I'm getting my shovel and the garden hose. Suddenly, I have a great new idea for re-landscaping the backyard with canals.
Apperently that video is in Washington state. Check out the next video on the site, it gives more info.

How long before your track is done? You think I will have time to build a boat to race there before you are done? We could change the venue to louisiana or NO and just give the racers a street map like a real road race.

New Olreans! Why didn't I think of that. That's friggin perfect, they already have a huge track, all we need is to re-open those levies. Where is Hoss at? Hoss, you've got to start on this re-flooding thing right away. I'm bolting a rollbar onto the Sidewinder now. I will be there by Sunday, and with any luck I should be severely injured or dead by Sunday evening. YEE-HAW! :rollside: :rollside:

LAFD, I picked mine up for $12K, but it wasn't set up right, it was a recreational boat, if a 15' aluminum boat can be called a recreational boat. It was in great shape though. It had a fuel injected 350, a roll bar for show, full interior, place diverter etc. I had it over 65 on GPS with a stock 330HP SBC. Since then the interior is gone, nozzle has been replaced with a steel one and it has a full roll cage. My motor is smoked right now, but I'm guessing with a well set up ZZ4 I'll be deep into 70 MPH territory. My sled is 15' and was billed as a Sprint boat. Its a little big for sprinting and a little small for white water, but its set up for white water. In stock class it does fine, but there are some boats out there with probably 10MPH on me. There was a ready to race white water boat for sale a couple of weeks ago that even came with vests for $10K. If you are at all interrested in racing, make sure you get one set up with a roll cage or you or somebody you know can weld. The rest is motor and set up-Aluminum Squirt

Kev-O if I send the tunnel back to you guys can you hack off 8 feet of it for me? ;)
lol
Just kidding but I am still looking for the bits to start a boat designed for tighter spots( so I don't need to run em with the tunnel LOL)
I did notice a log put a shallow mark in the hull after our last trip thru the logjams. Mind you when you see the video you'lkl be surprised thats all it did! I need something more like that thing!
Those sprints look like so much fun and that nelson video circulating blows my mind. It definatly looks sped up but I know its not. Talk about concentration!!!!!
Cheers

Berk,
My favorite part of the pedal is its what it controls. But honestly the piviot in the middle took some getting use to. I like that i can run light retun springs on the carb. With the center piviot you can heal the throttle shut if something sould go wrong. It still sucks in ruff water.
Kev-O,
Not much for action shots. Here are some othe the boat
Tork link for no fore and aft movment of the motor. one per side

I did not like the cable and chain stearing set up so here is my answer to it. Its ratio adjustable also.

Just got back from Oregon picking up a 12'9" aluminum sprint boat.
Building a 600hp small block for it.
Got a guy that is going to build a couple more sprints in San Diego.
Who's interested.
They do race them in Idaho and Oregon but the world champs are in N Zealand.
They come over every other year and kick our asses.
Southern California could take it to them.
Lets get some racin goin on.
Anybody interested

ya thats why i made mine pivot below the floor, but i think a pivot above under the dash would be ideal for rough water and "feel" since theres no clutch or brake in a jetboat its the only thing down there, so it should at least be the best it can be and the center pivot is just too weird for me to get used to. i didnt get the refference to start with , my bad....... nice pieces though, i like the steering setup.
