picked this up for the 455 engine, but just curious cause it may become a future project. the worst of it is that someone cut the deck to make an open bow out of it. No numbers on the transome and the registration is from some other state. So I don't have access to any paperwork on it.

The boat has a Jacuzi WJ pump with a broken shaft, broken bearing, broken impeller. at least the housing and bowl are in one piece. Any info would be welcome.

I don't know what it is. But I can tell you to throw that pile-o-shit in the trash and buy a real boat. :jawdrop:

Well, I thought I might build the Hondo first, or finish my CVX20 but since I don't have a garbage can big enough for the hull I think I might keep it for a while just the same.

Looks like you got some other shit in that barn that could stand to be thrown away too!

God I wish I had a barn like that for my boats but Dirt Lot Marine will have to do for now. The lines on that thing look a lot like my old tahiti like a 76 or so where the back is not really rounded but not totally squared off like they started doing around 78. If it is really thick it might be a tahiti.

Now that I am awake and the pix are bigger, I am going to say it looks a whole lot like my 73 tahiti and the back end is rounded the same. The deck on my=ine only had a slight rise to the dash too. I am thinking it is around a 73-74 tahiti now. I will see if I can scan some pix of my old one. (Before digital)

Is that a 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ model in the background? My friend had one of those back in HS, it was 428 4 speed car.

If he's in Montana, he'd have to have a shop like that or nothing would survive :) Brrrrr

Barn? I don't see any cows or hogs. How can it be a barn without cow and hogs?
That 'shop' looks huge. I can't imagine having that kinda space for toys. You're my new hero.

Yep, I am the lucky owner of that 36,000 square foot brick warehouse where we rent space to people to store thier stuff. Naturally I get to keep my stuff there too, but I don't get to throw away other people's "Shit", cause they pay me to keep it for them. Only down side is that the roof is 40 years old and I am having to repalce it all with Delta Rib. Just me and the Son, We should be done by the time he goes off to college. :hammer2: The small area you see in the pictures is less than 1/5 of the total building, Plus we have two other pole barns for storage. Oh, and then there is the heated shop, but that is another building and another story. Thanks to everyone who posted info so far.

It looks a whole lot like my Weimann. DOes it have two stringers that go damn near the the bow? Mine does. Those hulls were splashed by just about everyone, or there are a few minor differeneces. Good luck.

That is so close that it is hard to see any difference except maybe the placement of the exhaust is a little different

Mighty Thor,
there's a world of difference in the two boats here.
First, the gunnales are straight on the white boat.
The bustle, or rear deck, is raised and it doesn't have the continuous wrap around gunnale and lastly are the corners where the sides of the boat meet the transom. The white boat has a sharp edge, the other has the 'Weiman' roundness to it, which was used by Weiman, Tahiti and Cutlass.
Red Horse, your Weiman hull was built by Dick Schuster who owned Tahiti and was across the street from Weiman. Weiman didn't have a glass shop until Roger opened his own years later.
either way, they both originated from the same boat at one time or another. lol. Lots of splashing gong on back then.

Thanks Old rigger, I see what you are talking about. I had just been looking at general shapes rather than some of the specifics you point out. Funny how I didn't see them till I started to look. In response to an eariler question, the stringers do not run the whole length of the boat, they end just in front of the engine.
One thing I noticed that was very similar was the raised section where the deck starts to meet sides near the cockpit. Both boats seem to have the same curve there, but the rest of the boat from there back definitely has subtle differences.
This boat has a jacuzzi pump with a broken shaft, and all of the rigging is missing but It could still be repaired so I have not deciced to scrap it yet. Sorry Chet. :D
