Not a guru, but a classic Hallett owner. They hold their value. Buy it.

Those black seats are going to be a billion degrees in the summer. Does anyone have experience with black seats in their boat?

If you buy it be sure and either get rid of that single four barrel tunnel ram or put a 2x4 top on it because they don't work worth a shit. Oh yeah, you are difinitely going to catch hell over the the wing.

I hate myself! I like that boat and it reminds me of one of those rice-burner streetrods from the movie Fast and Furious. Maybe I'll just take the wing off and pretend it was never there.

I have experience with this boat. It used to be Rubber duckies, My brother, The wing alone is $900 and the motor is a roller 454. With a ford in it it did 82 and the motor had problems. The current owner had it painted last season and paid more than he is asking to have a motor built and installed. The seats were around 1800 3 years ago. The boat is clean. Black seats are not bad, you just keep towels over them when it is sitting. He does have a new Bimini from this year. The stereo is also new from this season and hits pretty good. The interior has a ton of room and this boat is capable of running good. The price is very good for this boat and there is a whole lot more than that invested in it.

Yeah, you cover them with white towels.

I got the PM. You have one now. I use black towels. Gotta match and I can use them with my Wax as you dry by Eagle One. One more trick you need to learn with a black boat (Wax as You Dry). I am building another black boat with black seats now to match Money $ucker. Holding the boat at the launch ramp you will have to splash water on the paint to get it cool enough to hold on to.

Our old Sidewinder had black seats. We pretty much always have towels on the seats, anyway, even in the Hallett, which has a cream interior, so it is not a big deal, IMO.

Even white vinyl gets boiling hot in the sun. I had tan before and now my golf cart seats, and both boat seats are black. You either cover them with a towel until you drive or leave them un covered until you drive than sit on the towel.
This boat may be on the lake tomorrow with a new owner.

Hey MoneySucker,
How did the boat run today?

I am still having ignition Problem I guess, I know it is not a fuel problem since I had Gorr Fuel systems flow it. The boat started way better today and I am running an alternator for the first time in my life. Just have to start eliminating things. Distributor and wires are next on the list. If that doesn't do it, everything is going to MSD for testing.

Ching, I hear the $$ adding up.

I would be willing to bet that my boat costs roughly around $100 an hour to run on average. Price you pay I guess. Probably should have left it alone after the day I ran 100 instead of tearing it apart chasing more MPH.
